This choker is simple in design with four strands. These long bone pipe beads are a little darker near the center and lighter near the back. The center brass beads are also 11mm thick and larger than the ones on the rest of the necklace. There are deer skin spacers of natural color separating each section. The deer skin leather straps are very soft and make this choker very comfortable. The choker is strung with real sinew that has been twisted into cordage.
The overall length of is 14” inches from the end of one end tap to the other. So it will fit necks with that circumference. or larger. It’s about 1.25” inches wide.
I love how these chokers have a real outdoor type feel to them. I see so many chokers that are made with plastic beads and materials that make them feel a little fake. This one does not have that feel. As it gets worn it will also develop a more used look that make it even more authentic. I am no American Indian, but I do love their craft and do my best to create art in a similar fashion.
