About Split Twig Figurines:
Split twig figurines were created long ago by the Ancestral Puebloans (Anasazi). Made from willow or other pliable woods, these small figures were often placed in caves or cliffside alcoves before hunts. They symbolized a sacred ritual — a way to honor and ask for the spirit of the animal’s blessing before the hunt. This pendant pays homage to that history, carrying with it a sense of connection, tradition, and respect for life.
